Participant Waiver

Kris Yip Memorial Fondo Participant Waiver and Release of Liability

Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that participating in the Kris Yip Memorial Fondo involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Physical exertion and potential injury from cycling.
• Traffic, road conditions, weather, and environmental hazards.
• Accidents involving other participants, volunteers, or event staff.
  

I understand these risks and voluntarily assume all responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss I may incur as a participant.

Waiver of Liability
In consideration of my participation, I, for myself and my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, and discharge the Kris Yip Memorial Foundation, event organizers, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and all other associated parties from any and all liability, claims, or causes of action that may arise from my participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

Medical Consent
I consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary by event personnel or emergency responders in the event of an accident, injury, or illness during the Kris Yip Memorial Fondo. I understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred.

Equipment Responsibility
I understand that I am responsible for ensuring my bicycle and equipment are in safe and proper working condition. I will wear a certified helmet at all times during the event, as required.

Rules and Safety Compliance
I agree to abide by all event rules, traffic laws, and instructions from event organizers and volunteers. I understand that failure to do so may result in disqualification or removal from the event.

Media Release
I grant permission for my name, image, and likeness to be used in photographs, videos, and other media captured during the event for promotional purposes without compensation.

I have read this waiver and fully understand its terms. By registering for the Kris Yip Memorial Fondo, I agree to the conditions outlined above and confirm that I am at least 18 years of age, or have obtained parental/guardian consent if under 18.
